Mr. Gangaa C SHARMA, our Managing Director and CEO attended the event title The Role of Industrial Sector in Achieving Carbon Emission to Net Zero in Kingdom of Bahrain held at Gulf Hotel, Manama on 17th January 2024. The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and H.E. Dr. Khaled Alalawi - Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Development - Ministry of Industry and Commerce and other major industrial players and stakeholders.
Mr. Sharma shared global perspective about Environment, Social and Governance (ESG),Climate Change, Net Zero ambitions and role of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sectoral standards specially GRI-11 Oil and Gas Sector standard, potential contribution in driving Oil & Gas sector of Kingdom of Bahrain and other Gulf countries towards sustainability and achieving national ambition of Net Zero by 2060 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Mr. Sharma also speak about Environmental and social governance practices within factories, enablers and critical success factors to achieve Sustainable Industrialization, Approach for propagation of the culture of sustainability in factories and the application of circular carbon economy concepts.
